Plant care
- Light
- Full sun to bright partial sun; acclimate gradually to intense light.
- Watering
- Water deeply but infrequently during prolonged dry periods; little or none in wet seasons. Check several inches below the surface. Water only when the soil is fully dry, then let excess water drain completely.
- Soil
- Very well-drained, gritty or sandy soil; avoid heavy, water-retentive ground.
- Humidity
- Low to moderate humidity; good airflow is beneficial.
- Temperature
- Warm conditions preferred. Protect from prolonged hard freezes, depending on species.
- Toxicity
- Sap may irritate skin and eyes; sharp leaf tips and teeth can injure. Keep away from children and pets.
