Lucky bamboo

A lucky bamboo arrangement with several green, segmented canes trained into curls and leafy shoots, growing in water. It is commonly kept as a low-maintenance indoor plant.
Plant care
- Light
- Bright, indirect light; avoid strong direct sun, which can scorch leaves and warm the water.
- Watering
- Top up or refresh roughly weekly, depending on evaporation and water cleanliness. Keep roots submerged, but do not cover the entire cane. Check that the water remains clear and reaches the roots; replace it if cloudy or foul-smelling.
- Soil
- Not needed for water culture. If potted, use a loose, well-draining houseplant mix.
- Humidity
- Average household humidity is usually adequate; moderate humidity is beneficial.
- Temperature
- 18–29°C; protect from cold drafts and temperatures below about 15°C.
- Toxicity
- Mildly toxic if chewed, especially to cats and dogs; keep away from pets and children.
