Yellow trumpetbush

A sun-loving flowering shrub or small tree with clusters of bright yellow, trumpet-shaped flowers and pinnate leaves. It is commonly grown outdoors in warm climates and can become drought tolerant once established.
Plant care
- Light
- Full sun; at least 6 hours of direct light daily.
- Watering
- Water deeply about once weekly during dry establishment periods; established plants need less frequent watering, depending on rainfall and soil. Check the top 5–8 cm of soil; water when it is dry, then soak the root zone thoroughly. Do not keep soil constantly wet.
- Soil
- Well-draining soil; tolerates sandy or relatively poor soil once established.
- Humidity
- Average outdoor humidity is sufficient.
- Temperature
- Warm conditions; protect from frost and prolonged cold.
- Toxicity
- Not generally considered highly toxic, but ingestion may cause stomach upset; keep plant material away from pets and children.
